Andrew Mulligan manages the Spanish portfolio at Skurnik Wines, a leading fine wine importer and distributor based in New York City and San Francisco, USA. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Poetry at Dartmouth College, Andrew moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he worked briefly in the movie and television production business before starting in the customer service department of Skurnik Wines at the age of 24. He worked his way up through the ranks at Skurnik and was appointed Spanish Portfolio Manager in February of 2011. Since then, the revenue of the portfolio he oversees has increased by close to 400%.
Andrew has lectured extensively on Sherry throughout the United States and led several trips to the Sherry Triangle for American wine professionals. Though the wines of Bodegas Emilio Lustau and Bodegas Tradición are closest to his heart, he has visited many other bodegas in the region and enjoys drinking a broad range of wines from different firms. He will be attending his third Feria del Caballo in May of 2017.
Andrew lives in a 19th-century cathedral in Brooklyn with his girlfriend, Christina, an accomplished costume designer and humanitarian.
