Scheherazade is the eponymous storyteller of Thousand and One Nights, or, Arabian Nights, the historic compilation of tales with no known original author spanning from as old as the Persian 8th century. She is the main character and colorful storyteller. This is a sipper inspired by her colorful tales and characters. The ingredients are meant to all seamlessly build upon each other with layers of herbs, bitters, fruit and aromas.

The lemon wheel should be dried in advance either laid out on a non-stick pan in the oven under low heat, or in a dehydrator.

This drink can be drunk warm, hot or even room temperature or chilled with or without ice depending on preference and time of day.

Build the drink in tea cup of choice. Stir and garnish with fresh mint, licorice root and lemon wheel. Be sure to release the oils of the mint before adding.
