This Sunday, February 7th, the Carolina Panthers will duke it out against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50. If you’re one of the 43 million people planning to host a Super Bowl party in the U.S. and are looking to serve something to family and friends beyond the standard offerings, why not change it up by serving a Sherry punch. With all of the complexity of a craft cocktail, a punch keeps you from having to shake or stir cocktails all night.
But what to serve? Sherry Week Ambassador and 2014 Cocktail Competition Runner-Up Brian Means of Dirty Habit in San Francisco has you covered with his Three Amigos Punch. Low proof enough to enjoy throughout the game, this Sherry punch will bring a divided house together.
Three Amigos Punch
1 - 750ml bottle of Fino Sherry
12.5 oz Palo Cortado Sherry
8 oz Moscatel
4 oz Sweet Vermouth
8 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Add all ingredients to a punch bowl and stir to incorporate. Add an ice block or several large cubes into the mix. Garnish with raspberries and float orange wheels on top of the punch.
Serve with a ladle into small cups over one or two ice cubes in each serving. Makes 15 to 20 servings.
