Ambiente Tapas is an independent tapas restaurant and sherry bar with five sites across Yorkshire. Our Goodramgate restaurant is housed in a Grade II listed building in historic York, featuring a relaxed Andalucian-inspired bar perfect for a glass of sherry or two and some nibbles whilst overlooking the busy street.
The more formal restaurant is a perfect setting for enjoying a leisurely evening sampling our Spanish fare. With a cosy and intimate feel, we’re the ideal destination for date nights, family meals and enjoying plenty of sherry, of course!
At Ambiente, our interest in sherry is all encompassing. We write our menus around it, we send staff out to Jerez to get a feel for it and the local culture, we even employ our very own Sherry Educator in our Group General Manager, Rob Scott-South.
Our wine list is full of dry sherry from some of the most prominent sherry producers in the Sherry Triangle including Bodegas Gonzalez Byass, Bodegas Barbadillo and Bodegas Lustau.
