Ambiente Tapas is an independent tapas restaurant and sherry bar with five sites across Yorkshire. Our Leeds restaurant, formerly a warehouse, has retained its bare brick walls, stripped floors and exposed steelwork resulting in a casual & relaxed dining environment.
Our stylish restaurant is inspired by Spain’s tabancos and hidden gems, perfect for enjoying our modern take on some of Spain’s classics. Glimpse into our kitchen and you’ll see our busy chefs cooking tapas to order and mastering our fire-breathing barbecue Josper oven. Our bar area is ideal for those wanting a glass of sherry or two with a light bite.
If the weather is favourable, our south facing balcony overlooking the River Aire is a perfect spot for whiling away a leisurely hour enjoying some tapas & sherry. At Ambiente, our interest in sherry is all encompassing.
We write our menus around it, we send staff out to Jerez to get a feel for it and the local culture, we even employ our very own Sherry Educator in our Group General Manager, Rob Scott-South.
Our wine list is full of dry sherry from some of the most prominent sherry producers in the Sherry Triangle including Bodegas Gonzalez Byass, Bodegas Barbadillo and Bodegas Lustau.
