The Show-Me Shandy is a great introduction to Sherry because of its familiar flavors - hops and lemonade, combined with the new dry, crisp Sherry. It's a great gateway to these wines.
Combine all ingredients into a bottle, connect to a c02 tank with a carbonator cap. Carbonate 3 times and bottle. Keep cold until serving.
*Hop tea recipe: 1 oz cascade hops boiled at 140 degrees for 15 minutes. Chill.
**Lemon/Grapefruit Oleo Saccharum recipe: 5 grapefruit peels and 3 cups sugar, let sit for one hour, combine with 30 oz lemon juice. Let sit for one hour. Strain.
It is an ideal aperitif wine and goes well with all types of tapa, especially olives, nuts and Iberian cured ham.
Also providing the perfect companion for shellfish and fish, especially those with a marked salty taste (anchovies) or even raw (sashimi).
Its low acetic acid content combines exceptionally well with dishes of marked acidity (vinaigrette salads, marinades, etc.) as well as with cold soups (gazpacho, ajo blanco, etc.).
Use an ice bucket with both ice and water to serve chilled between 6º & 8º C.
It adapts perfectly to a diverse range of salty and intense flavours.
