Anyone who follows our musings on Sherry regularly will already be well aware of how versatile Sherry is, on its own and with food.
But what bar tenders round the UK are discovering is that Sherry is also a fantastic ingredient in contemporary and classic cocktail recipes. From a Tom Collins with Fino to Negroni with Oloroso there is a whole new world of discovery for Sherry lovers when mixing it in cocktails.
COMPETITION TIME
To celebrate the winter season and Sherry’s amazing contribution to the world of cocktails, we are giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to our Sherry Cocktail Masterclass*, to be held in London in early February by internationally acclaimed drinks writer Dave Broom.
All you need to do is share with us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter your favourite Sherry cocktail in the most engaging way you can, be it step by step photos of how to make it, a short video on social media of you enjoying it or perhaps photos at your favourite bar that serves your ideal Sherry Cocktail. What you share and how you share it is up to you but just be sure to tag #SherryCocktailsUK.
Once you’ve got something to share, just tag us in and we'll join in the fun. Then, in January we will pick fifteen winners, each of who will join us - with a guest - for an afternoon of learning about Sherry, tasting Sherry and mixing your own original Sherry Cocktails.

The competition is open for entries 1 - 31 December, 2017.
Entries are invited on three social media platforms: Facebook; Twitter; Instagram. Your entry will be included in the competition if you include the hashtag #SherryCocktailsUK
Winners will be chosen at random. If we are unable to contact any of the first fifteen winners within 48 hours, a replacement winner will be chosen. If there are insufficient entries, the masterclass will be cancelled and a minimum two weeks notice will be given.
The competition is open to everyone, however Sherry producers, brand owners, importers, representatives and associated family will not be eligible for the prize.
If you are unable to attend at the last minute, no replacement prize is available. Tickets are non-transferable.
The Sherry Cocktail Masterclass will be held in central London on Thursday 8 February, 2018, starting at 2pm, finishing at 5.30pm. It will include: a history of Sherry; tasting of six different Sherries; a cocktail demonstration, and; an opportunity for guests to mix their own unique recipes. Light refreshments will be available.
