Down to the West Coast
Our favorite son, 15 Romolo, will bring Christmas early to San Francisco residents. A Sherry Christmas that is. With 18 Sherry wines by the glass, a variety of flights, phenomenal food pairings, old and rare bottlings, Brandy de Jerez, and a full list of Sherry cocktails, there be something for everyone!
To the South
Divino in Houston will kick off International Sherry week on Monday, November 2nd with a Sherry takeover of their 1st Monday seminar led by somms Thomas and Mario. They will lead guests through a Sherry style tasting with a variety of seven wines from Hidalgo, Valdespino and Emilio Hidalgo. And it’s free!
Due north to the Midwest
Join the 2015 Sherry Cocktail Competition runner up, Jess Lambert, and Sable Kitchen & Bar of Chicago as they offer three incredibly special Sherry cocktails and perfectly paired small bites. Sable will be highlighting Jess Lambert’s “Que Buena Pinta”, International Sherry Week’s official cocktail by Pietro Collina, “Broken Spanish”, and the “Wrangler” by Mike Jones. Each features a different Sherry and will offer a peek into the versatility of Sherry in cocktails.
Closing in the Northeast
Spend the last night of Sherry Week with Mockingbird Hill in Washington DC. Sherry ambassador, Derek Brown, will offer a unique introduction to Sherry’s versatility through tastings, pairings, and hands-on instruction. Attendees will taste three aperitif styles and learn to make two cocktails: the classic, Adonis, and a Derek Brown original.
