That's a wrap! #Sherryweek UK 2015

11 November 2015

Wthe over 200 events in one week, the UK was one of the largest participants in International Sherry Week 2015.  But no wonder, the country seems to love the stuff! Events stretched from Scotland to Wales and from Manchester to London via a multitude of locations in between.

London's many Sherry and Tapas bars got into the swing of things by hosting Sherry tastings and tapas pairing promotions, whilst venues such as Bar 44 in Cardiff hosted a week long fiesta of events. Sherry Cocktails were a hit in the Bars of Brighton and Manchester had it's own Sherry Bar Hop, whilst many restaurants offered beautiful Sherry pairing menus

The hashtag #sherryweek was quickly adopted very early in the week and social media traffic continued to grow, with many nationwide retailers, wine writers and national press picking up on the theme.

We are sure that the participating venues created many new sherry lovers and saw an increase in sales accross the week.  We will be getting in touch for feedback on how we can move forward together and our greatest thanks go to all those who took part.

So now we can look forward to International Sherry Week 2016, but in the meantime there's always an opportunity to promote Sherry all year round when it is paired with beauiful food and served in good company.
