Yorkshire, Sherry and Cocktails... what's not to like?

10 March 2016

Sherry is rapidly becoming know as a Mixologist's dream ingredient. The range of styles suit a huge range of cocktails from the bone dry to the mouth wateringly sweet. Whether your preference is for a Manzanilla Martini or a Sweet Pedro, Sherry once again showcases its extreme versatility as a wine.

At Ambiente Tapas the fresh and fruity options start with a Solera Mojito and Amontillado Margarita, both containing Gonzalez Byass Vina AB.  The more serious cocktail connoisseur may choose a Palomino Aviation or a Cut stick Old fashioned, featuring Oloroso and Palo Cortado respectively.

At whichever end of the spectrum you stand, there's a Sherry cocktail to suit.  Try Ambiente's recipe for a cheeky Jerez Cosmopolitan or a sultry Dulce Espresso Martini for a sweet touch to finish off the perfect night of indulgence.

Ambiente Tapas pride themselves in creating gourmet tapas with a Yorkshire twist. Their three restaurants and sherry bars in Leeds and York are inspired by traditional Spanish "tabancos" and their menus provide a wide range of spanish cuisine, as well as over 60 wines and sherries by the glass.

They are extremely passionate about sherry and stock wines from the driest Fino to the sweetest Nectar. Staff are trained to steer clients through their sherry journey and many have visited Jerez to discover the Bodegas first hand. With eight sherry flights to try from an introductory flight to three Very Old rare Sherries, there is really something to suit every sherrylover's palate.
