Sarah Jane Evans is a Master of Wine (MW) and an award-winning wine writer, with a special focus on Sherry and Spain. She’s co-Chairman of the Decanter World Wine Awards, the world’s largest wine awards, and a former Chairman of the Institute of Masters of Wine. She was elected to the Gran Orden de Caballeros de Vino, for her services to Spanish wine. Sarah Jane wrote her MW dissertation on Sherry, on the Almacenistas. Her latest book is The Wines of Northern Spain, and she’s now working on The Wines of Mediterranean and Southern Spain (including Sherry). She travels widely - tasting, consulting, advising – and is equally adept at presenting and writing about wine for consumers as for wine professionals.
