Virginia Miller

Virginia Miller is a native Spaniard who is fluent in both English and Spanish. She holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of International Management in Arizona and an MA in English Philology from Colorado State University. While living in Texas she served as a certified U.S. Federal Court Interpreter and also served as a Coordinator of Teacher Training for the University of Texas at El Paso. She was actively involved in the City of El Paso´s Quadra-centennial celebration of the arrival of Spanish explorers, as well as in the coordination of establishing a Sister City designation between the City of El Paso and the City of Jerez.
Virginia has combined her 20-year experience in the teaching field with her love of all things Spanish by obtaining the designation of Sherry Wine Educator. She got also the designation of Brandy de Jerez Educator. Virginia was raised in Jerez and El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain. Her mother founded the first bilingual English/Spanish school in Jerez, and her father worked in the sherry wine industry for more than 30 years, Virginia has recently initiated her “Discover Sherry” project. It has involved presenting informative sherry wine tastings, in English and in Spanish, which have included delicious food-pairings.
Virginia presently resides in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain and is available to provide informative and gastronomically-pleasing presentations regarding sherry wines, as well as the coordination of activities at local wineries, vineyards, and wine-related events.
